CEA delivers road and highway design from initial concept through to IFC documentation. Designs comply with Austroads Guide to Road Design, Main Roads WA Design Standards and AS 1742. Typical projects include rural road upgrades, urban road improvements, intersection treatments, blackspot projects, drainage infrastructure and active travel works.
Independent design checking services for civil infrastructure projects. A third-party review by a qualified engineer adds an important layer of quality assurance — identifying errors, omissions or non-compliance before documentation is issued for construction.
CEA prepares construction cost estimates to support project planning, budget setting and tender documentation. Estimates are developed using current market rates and practical experience of construction costs across a range of civil infrastructure project types in Western Australia.
CEA provides stormwater drainage design services including pit and pipe networks, open drain design, basin sizing and catchment analysis. Designs are developed to meet local government requirements and relevant Australian standards for stormwater management.
Specialist design, modelling and drafting services using industry-leading software.
Using specialist 3D modelling software including 12d Model, CEA produces accurate digital terrain models and road design models that account for existing topography, drainage and construction constraints. Issues are identified and resolved before construction begins.
Vehicle swept path analysis to simulate vehicle movements through proposed designs — ensuring car parks, intersections, turning areas and access arrangements are functional and safe for intended vehicle types.
CEA provides drafting support from simple mark-up updates to complete new design drawing sets. All drafting produced to high standards using ProgeCAD and BricsCAD, with outputs in PDF and DWG formats. CEA maintains its own CAD standards and layer naming conventions.
Detailed earthworks modelling and documentation including bulk earthworks volume calculations, cut and fill analysis, and isopachyte plans to support project cost estimation during tendering and planning phases.
